Nutritional and Natural Substances for Healing

This is a personal account of recent events followed by information we need to keep these substances legally available to us. I am talking about vitamins and herbs such as milk thistle and gingko.

I always try to counter any imbalances or ailments through nutrition first then herbs because I find traditional medicine heavy handed and siding too much with Big Pharma. The side effects of so many medications are horrific. It’s also been my experience that the majority of the time traditional practioners are guessing at diagnosis unless completely substantiated by tests, which are often wrong. There is a place for traditional medicine with trauma and some illnesses but why not try to heal naturally first?

My dog over a period of 8 weeks developed a large lump on his lip, scary. I took him to his vet. The vet said he had no idea what it was and we should cut off part of his lip and have a biopsy. YIKES! Before I put Scotty through having a portion of his lip removed, drugs, anesthesia and pain I wanted to be certain it was needed. I asked if we could wait a bit and the vet agreed that a week or two would be fine and handed me an estimate for $400 to start treatment.

I decided to online search for alternatives.  I am lucky to follow @lurainpenny on Twitter. Through her I met Aza leigh Cody, who is a special diets cook for animals of many years experience. To contact her about health problems in dogs & cats email codifyer(AT)yahoo.com. She is also the artist Codifyer. You can see her design work here - http://thecodifyergallery.com."

She held my hand through treating Scotty with vitamin E, Red Clover and ginger packs. (Cost, under $25) In less than 5 days the lump was down to pimple size and in 8 days it was totally gone except for a tiny scar where it once was.

I apologize for the quality of the photos. Holding a dog’s lip up and trying to photo is not easy.

Talking about this experience at the dog park I was amazed to find many others who have cured ailments using tea tree oil, vitamin C, Chinese tea, olive oil and milk thistle on a wide variety of pet breeds and on themselves.

Now some info you need to know about the threat to vitamins and herbs.
